Motivate 2
LECP are delighted to announce the launch of ‘Motivate to Achieve' a project funded by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and based on the previously successful Job Centre Plus ‘Motivate to Work' pilot.
‘Motivate to Achieve' will provide individualised one to one support for 25 young adults aged 16-19 not in education, employment or training (NEET) in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH). Through a range of adventure based personal and social development opportunities, young adults will be given the opportunity to experience new environments, explore new activities and raise aspirations helping them into education, employment or training (EET) outcomes. Young adults will be offered:
- One-to-one advice sessions on EET
- A soft skills programme for 16-19 year olds
- An opportunity to attend a Residential
Young adults will be individually supported by a named project worker who will work alongside them to consider progression route options. Each project worker will aim to develop confidence, increase motivation and prepare the young adult for their next step to reaching their chosen career and educational aims.
