Beginning
D* has been NEET for 1 year due to chromes disease, this prevented her from doing activities, going to college and achieving her full potential. D is very motivated and eager to try new things such as cooking classes, photography, art classes and drama.
D was referred by a Connexions PA, who believed the flexibility of the AA would be ideal for D.
Middle
D worked on her goals, getting in to IT and administration. She attended an IT and PowerPoint course, as well as, photography, and driving theory.
Prior to the AA ,D was very dependent on her mother, but thanks to the activities the AA provides and the support of project workers, D can now be more independent.
End
Due to D's illness, she was unable to attend a project to gain admin and IT work experience, however this has not knocked her confidence and a new meeting has been set up to arrange placement!
D commented on the AA:
'Now I go to the cinema more, shopping with my mum and do more things, I feel much more positive. Even though I didn't attend lots of things, by doing a little shows me I can do things on my own'.
